The Shadow and Bone tale continues with Siege and Storm and once again Leigh Bardugo delivers. Lauren Fortgang did another fantastic job narrating the audio.

Alina, my heart really went out to you in this one. Poor girl, what a burden you carry on your shoulders. All those people putting their hope into the "Sun Summoner" as their savior. Well, that kinda sucks, but you're doing a pretty good job holding up, especially since Mal needs to buck it up and realize he can't have the old Alina back. He seems to be in denial. Except the ending. Wow, what an ending.

Siege and Storm will be included on my "Best of 2013" list. I can't wait for the third one! Memorable characters, a setting that comes alive in my imagination, drama, nail biting moments, swoon worthy couple, action that will make you gasp out loud. Does it get better than that? I don't think so!

Highly recommend this series for all lovers of an imaginative fantasy novel with lots of good versus evil. <3 <3 <3
