An interesting book, it goes through many current issues through the lens of history as a guide showing us where we have been. Historians always use the argument that if we don’t learn from the past we are doomed to repeat it. This book shows that there really isn’t a problem that we face today that hasn’t been faced before. The problem that I read into the book is that these problems are still with us because there isn’t an easy answer.

Overall the subject matter was great. The only reason I didn't rank it higher was there was several times I got lost in the huge amount of information that was thrown at me, and admittedly most of it was new to me.
