There are certain authors whom you--as a reader--have high expectations of. For me, Guhrke is one such author. Luckily, she has yet to disappoint.

The basics without giving too much away...Nicholas, the marquess of Trubridge is in quite a predicament. His father, the duke, has completely cut him off financially unless he finds a wife. He asks for the help of Lady Belinda Featherstone, a highly respected matchmaker.

However, to Nicholas' surprise, the matchmaker isn't interested in helping him. As a matter of fact, she makes it blatantly clear that she will do all in her power to ensure he doesn't find a wife.

Belinda knows all the stories of his sordid past. She also knows he's not looking for a wife to love but merely a hefty dowry. Having once been married to that sort of heartless man, she concludes that she will not stand by and watch the marquess make another woman suffer as she did.

But sometimes, even a matchmaker is not on target when it comes to determining what two people are perfect for each other. As the story unfolds, her initial assumptions of Nicholas begin to crumble, he is not the man she believed him to be. And slowly but surely, he seems more and more like HER perfect match.

I thoroughly enjoyed story and am looking forward to the rest of the series!
