really liked it
Recommended for: If you like a quick read, like time travel, magic,

Annalisa returns to her childhood home in hopes of discovering what is missing from her life. Her adopted grandmother, Granny Jean is in ill health, but still feisty in her determination to make sure Annalisa finds happiness.

Over Granny Jean’s mantle is a portrait of a man from another time. Annalisa is drawn to him and dreams about him in vivid detail.

Alec, an earl and a sorcerer, is the man in the portrait. He can only communicate with Annalisa through her dreams. Granny Jean is able to communicate with Alec, but she will not let the earl have his way with Annalisa, unless she is sure her granddaughter wishes to cross the void that separates the two worlds. However, time is running out and a decision must be made.

I especially enjoyed Annalisa’s talks with a black cat that could travel between both worlds. Readers will find Granny’s spunk endearing. Alec’s determination to win Annalisa’s heart will have you hoping dreams do come true.

Ms. Parker had written a sweet paranormal sure to warm your heart.
