This is an excellent entry in the Kincaid/James series. Kincaid & James are trying to negotiate their relationship after consummating the underlying affection they have for one another. The case they are assigned is the murder of a Division Commander, another delicate situation. The commander had lived in a village outside London, and the small town atmosphere further complicates matters. After much careful footwork and several wrong turns, the case is solved, and... well, I won't tell you any more...
