Title: There was an old Lady who swallowed a fly
Bibliographic Reference: Taback, S (1997). There was an old lady who swallowed a fly. New York, NY: Viking Juvenile.
Illustrator: Pam Adams
Summary: This is such a fun book that is funny that kids can really get into. The story goes through details of an old lady eating different animals or insects. She eats each animal to get the other animal out of her body, but she ends up getting bigger and bigger. Its funny and the kids will really get a kick out of it. I would use this book just as a silly book to read with the kids. It has rhyming and clever sayings, so you could work on rhyming with the students with this book.
