Two of a Kind (Fool's Gold, #11)

I really enjoyed the characters in this novels. Ms. Mallery sets a beautiful back drop in Fool's Gold for this romance to take place. Our Heroine is quirky, yet blunt; Straight forward, overly organized; and a genius, but completely and utterly awkward.
Her complicated childhood has led her to Fools Gold, trying to find a place to belong; to have a family and friends. Felicia Swift was never the dating type; well anything type...other then smart. So when she decided it was time to finally lose her virginity, she found a man to her liking and did it. Just like that. How would she guess that years later she'd find him in the same town, and hear that sexy voice on the radio.
Gideon spent the majority of his life in the Black Ops, when he thought he had a life. Since then, he barely made it out alive and dwells on everything terrible that happened to him in the service. The torture, the despair and the loss of his team. He's given up on emotions, feeling and even the thought of getting close to anyone. He had all forgotten about emotions, until he saw Felicia again. There one night together had been off the charts and something he had never experienced. Can he risk opening up to get close to someone again? It would just be to help her learn how to act around men, nothing serious.
I hope I've enticed you enough to try this book on for size. Susan blends the right amounts of Sweet and Steamy in the one!
