I have finally finished this book after starting it over two years ago (and I am a very fast reader and usually finish books within a day or two).

When I first started reading this I was very excited as I had just watched three seasons of Game Of Thrones in three days and was still coming off that high. However I was very disappointed in this book. I didn't engage with the story like I did for the tv show. I also found I was annoyed by the writing and how certain things were phrased.

I am yet undecided with I continue with the book series though if I do it will probably far in the future. I so wanted to love this book but it fell short of my expectations. I also found that there were a lot of characters and found it difficult to keep track of things. I personally think the series is better a tv show as it is a very visual where in the book I got lost in the details.
