really liked it

The best thing about this book are the included short stories. One in particular made me laugh like a jackass, "Mad House", about a literature professor whose seething rage is absorbed and made manifest by his home. Matheson has a bitter sense of humor that works perfectly with his morbid stories. There was a golden age for this kind of stuff whenever 'Twilight Zone' and 'The Outer Limits' were airing new episodes. Matheson even wrote the famous creature on the plane wing episode starring the Shat. A time when great short stories and great television seemingly had a symbiotic relationship.
