it was amazing
bookshelves: contemporary-romance

Written simply but amazingly well, this gorgeous little novel draws you in and you have no choice but to fall deeply in love with Evan and Ness.

I read at least 2 books a week, and was becoming quite disillusioned with a lot of contemporary romance novels as they retold the same stories with one dimensional characters. This is the first book I've read in a month or so now that has made me stay up till 1am just to finish it.

I laughed with them and cried with them. Some reviews have felt that the title is misleading, that the book was not about Lucy. I didn't find this at all. I found that it was the perfect title. I didn't find myself wanting to know more about Lucy, I was more interested in knowing how it affected Evan's life and how he was or wasn't handling the situation and how it affected his relationship with Ness.

Lisa Swallow is proving to be an amazing writer who writes wonderful and relatable characters and beautiful stories.
