I loved this book!! It's a fun new take on witches! Lots of action, some crazy good magic, and a great heroine. Jax is running from her family because they are evil witches. And just for leaving her family's coven, the punishment is death if she's caught. Plus, I would run if I had to watch my dad murder my mom too. Jax just wants to be normal, and she hides in a small town, without using her powers in case they find her. And then there's a hunter, who could also be trouble for her.

Keller is the hunter, and Jax has a serious attraction to him. And her life of being a normal teenager is over when she meets him. Plus, Jax is pretty gorgeous, so it's not like she could really hide all that well in high school. Plus, Keller has this totlly cool cousin, Toni, who becomes Jax's new bestie. But mean girls have a way of causing trouble. And those incidents cause a revealing to those who could harm her the most.

This is a great story. I can't wait to read more! It's fast paced, full of emotion, and I kinda just wanted to cry for Jax. Then I cheered for her. All of the characters have wonderful depth to them. I will be jumping into book two!! :) 5 PAWS!
