My review of Half-Blood (Covenant, #1)
This installment had a lot more going on than the other books did, but I was disappointed to realize that this isn't the last book in the series. In fact I have several more to go. I'm not so sure that I would have started this series at this time had I know that there were so many of them. I know a lot of people LOVE this series, but for me it's just ok. There are things that I really like. Obviously, or I wouldn't be reading them back to back. But at this point it's not a series that I'm going to cherish or probably ever read again. It just kinda fades into the masses of books I've already read. Like a lot of the books I read these days, I feel like the story should have been condensed. Does it really need to be stretched out into 5 books or more? Or could we have sped up the plot, but cutting the fat? Of course that's more of a personal preference I guess. I'm sure some people like the fat. I don't. I've been catching myself tuning out a lot while reading these books. I talk about this book and others on my YouTube channel, here:

*There are a few typos in this book.

Protagonist Meter
I don't think I've had a character flop around so much on the Protagonist Meter. Damsel -> Badass -> Damsel again. I'm getting a headache lol.
