really liked it
bookshelves: in-2014

I don't know what to say, and I'm not sure why, because I really, really, really liked this book!! It was definitely a summery book. I don't think I've read one of those lately.

But I loved Amy, I loved Roger, and I loved their road trip. After a very traumatic accident in Amy's life, everything in her life turned around. Her life completely changed. Her mom moved to across the country, and Amy closed her self off. This roadtrip, with an old childhood friend Roger, was supposed to take 4 days and literally just drive from one hotel to the next.

But Roger wanted an adventure, and reluctantly at first Amy agreed. At the end I believe that their Detour changed both of them for good. Their detour represented, freedom, adventure, and finding one self. I recommend it!!!

And after finishing it, I want to take a road trip around America!!!
