it was amazing

An extraordinary autobiography about a true adventurer and iconoclast. Yeager not only accounts his exploits as a fighter ace in WWII and Korea, but as the hot-shot experimental pilot of the X series of jet planes. He attributes nearly all his success as a pilot to the fact that he has exceptional eyesight. But the writing is lively and Yeager's personality comes through in the telling. One of my favorite autobiographies.
