this book made no sense. it was horrible. i bought the hardcover right as it was released and ended up putting it in the goodwill box as soon as i was finished. It was also very unrealistic and offensive that a woman with a traumatic brain-injury should be raised for and cared for by her husband and his new wife, and treated as their child. Disturbing!! I don't know what is going on with Jane Hamilton, Book of Ruth was life-changing, Map of the World rocks, but then it just sort of goes downhill. I still love Jane, even had the privilege of meeting her once in Hawaii. I just wonder if she put forth so much of her soul in the first two books that it is hard for her to follow that.
