it was ok

I'm in a class called Representing Islam right now so I was attuned to the racial stereotypes against Arabs in the novel. The novel is plot-driven, not character driven. As a result, I really didn't care when certain characters died. I also remember feeling apathetic toward the characters in Harris's so-called masterpiece, Silence of the Lambs. There's enough tension to keep the story moving along, but there really isn't any depth worth pondering once you pass the last page.
