really liked it

Miserable book, full of misogyny, fun to watch the protagonist (can you call him that?) scramble and self-destruct his way through a lifetime of loathing. Read as the attitudes undergirding Modern Europe and the racist colonial project tear themselves apart. The translation makes for a fast-paced and funny read. I liked it, total destruction.
