really liked it

Shankly The Lost Diary is a collection of articles that Bill Shankly wrote for the Liverpool Echo over the summer of 1962, after the clubs triumphant return to the top flight and details what had happened at the club since he took over just two years previously.

I found it fascinating to read as it really showed what Shankly had done to the club since taking over, and what his plans for the future were, and you believed in what he said.

We also found out about how the club prepared for games, and the trials and tribulations of travelling to and from away matches, and also it showed his determination to win each and every game, and you can fully understand how he managed to turn the club into the force that it became over the next twenty odd years, and that Shankly was, to put it mildly, a one of the greatest football managers who ever lived.
