really liked it

This book is book 100 of my 2009 reading list. And I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate. After reading all the other books, I was waiting for this story. I actually cried while reading this. This book would have been perfect except for the second half. At first I believed that I was just jealous of a fictional character but I realized what really grated me about Tory.

We met her when she was 16 in a previous book. In that book she came off as smart and a little sassy. But something about her in this book came across as wimpy, no matter her accomplishments. It was like a little scared kid playing dress up as a tough fearless person. And she was definitely too wimpy to be Acheron's mate. I guess I was expecting his person to be tough with only one soft spot. And that soft spot would be her love for Ash. Someone completely different for Artemis as well. I was thinking of a tiny firecracker type. I don't know. Its what kept it from being a 5.

Incidentally I could have been okay of he hadn't found an HEA in his book. I mean, it really wussed him up. (I can say that since I've finished all the books to date and am going back to write reviews). I'm not giving anything away, every DH gets a little soft after pairing up, but something about Ash getting soft is just... disappointing. This is the end of her first story arc- she says there will be 4 all together

The Flooze His softening up seems like a total personality change. Completely different person.

The rest are still sarcastic hard-asses, but with wives!

Mersina Seena i cant read fast enough i cant wait to reach this book!

message 3: by Bry (new)

Bry Holy cow book 15 was only the end of the first arc?! And there will be 4?! Just how many books can I person write in a lifetime?

Tara There are 20 so far in just this series, but she has a lot of series. There are at least 30 other books I think in all her other series combined...
