it was amazing
bookshelves: 2004, childrens, fantasy, urban-fantasy, dead-tree, borrowed, middle-grade
Read in July, 2004

I think I must have been one of maybe ten people who didn't read this book within the first month of it coming out. I probably would have continued on in life without having read it if it weren't for my flatmate who had a copy of the book that I could borrow. Verdict: I loved it. For some reason, the books don't stick in my head as they do with other people so I forget just how engrossing they can be. I read over half the book in a day, at the expense of my politics survey, and stayed up well past my bedtime to finish it. I knew the ending so it wasn't a surprise and I feel that I missed a lot because of that. I now have a hankering to reread the others... which are also across the ocean from me, along with the majority of my books. Drat.
