did not like it
Read in October, 2009

It did not like this book. It was tedious. At times I was bored out of my mind. I thought it was going to be based around the assassination plot against President Lincoln, but that was just the backdrop. It was actually about medical innovation in the 19th century and body snatching, which I didn't find myself interested in at all. I found the main character selfish and immature and there were enough inconsistencies in the character development that it was hard to follow their motives. I was particularly disappointed in this book in light of how much I liked the other book by Ann Rinaldi that I read "Mine Eyes Have Seen." I don't recommend it.
