A delightful little book that even non-cat lovers will find interesting. Basically a collection of illustration and photographs of cat-inspired art and cultural artifacts from the vaults of the British Museum. With source material ranging from all over the world, and most of human history (from ancient Egypt paintings to Indian bank notes, and European masters to Japanese works of art), this is a very rich collection, and each illustration is accompanied/introduced by brief notes. If anything is missing is some sort of logic in the order in which the illustrations are arranged, but nothing that prevents enjoyment of the book as a whole.
