it was amazing
bookshelves: historical-fiction, i-love

I greatly enjoyed I, Claudius. What a good book! I always find the Romans very interesting, and this book is particularly well written. It reads a bit like nonfiction, which makes the reading time rather longer than usual, but this only enhances the book, and made me savour it more. The characters were all well-developed, and Claudius is quite endearing. I love the chap. Now I want to break out my Plutarch's Lives and Twelve Caesars and brush up on my emperors.
