This text is rich in information and after spending several months reading it, I can say that my grasp of the fall of the Ottoman Empire is much stronger. At times, I wish that Fromkin would have composed a more fluid storyline. He hops around from military events, diplomatic meetings, and national histories. If you are looking to vastly expand your understanding of the time period (1914-1922) this may be your book. If your looking for a great historical read, maybe skip it...
