** spoiler alert ** Bec, brought a change of pace to the series in a way that I did not expect. Used to reading the series from a male perspective it was interesting to read it from the perspective of a teenage girl, who not only has as much to deal with as the males of the stories but also living in medieval times, without technology available to her as the other characters have had.

I found Bec likeable, interesting and rather selfless. The ending shocked me and I went to sleep dreaming only of what harm befell her and demons once again. But Bec brought a new element to this wonderful series, perhaps something that in the long run will prove needed, I just hope that there is room enough for another female to take the lead once again as it proved for interesting, captivating reading.
