I enjoyed reading "The Kite Runner" even though it seemed to end about four different times. With this book I hoped that Hosseini had learned a thing or two from his flaws in Kite Runner. I think he did.

Even though this story is incredibly sad, I think it is a story that desperately needed to be told. After reading this you will want to personally take down the Taliban.

The story is told from the point of view of two women and I personally think it would be especially difficult for a man to write from a woman's point of view when that woman lives in a place where she is completely oppressed. I applaud Hosseini for capturing their emotions so well, even though it must be just a glimpse of how bad it is for women under the Taliban.
