This was probably my least favorite of all the Zusak books I have read so far, but I still loved it. When I first started reading the book, I was not impressed. There were some references to masterbating that made me uncomfortable, but towards the middle the book got amazingly beautiful. I love the way Zusak portrays romantic relationships. His male characters feel so much. I am a girl and don't really know how guys feel, but I like to think that, like Zusak's characters, they are all soft and gentle beneath their tough skin. Cameron Wolfe has always lived in the shaddow of his older brother Ruben, until Cameron falls for his brother's girlfriend. This forces Cameron to come out of his shell which disrupts the precarious balance of his family life. Beautifully written as always with Markus Zusak. I loved it.
