What I learned from this book...hmmm...don't go to Texas? The psychic demon-fighter, Maggie Quinn, is baaaaack. On her way to spring break with Lisa the witch, they are derailed by the corpse of a cow in the highway. Which, of course, leads to a mystery, more horrifying events, and a battle for their lives. As much as demonology, this book is about developing and deepening the characters: Lisa's struggle with guilt, Maggie's struggle with love, and Justin's struggle with the past. Still, the plot does not slow down as they race from near-disaster to demon attack to the local gossip center. Fun and suspenseful.
