This was a cute book and a quick read. Perfect for my flight back from Boston yesterday where I read the entire thing. I'd have to say my favorite parts, in general, were the scenes and letters from Paul to his brother Charles. They really open up Julia's character from someone who is just discovering her, but from a much closer perspective than a cooking show. I actually laughed out loud on the flight when Julie entered the "half bath" and saw black goo coming out of the sink. Her attempted spelling of what she said was pretty much perfect. Overall, a nice, light read about how seemingly unimportant goals can turn around your aspect on life. At the very least, attempting such a ridiculous goal can give you something to look forward to, even though the actual process may not be as pleasant as you'd thought.
