I don' t think I've actually read the Pinsky edition yet - but hear it's excellent. Gotta love Dante.

Tom The best edition is the one by the Hollanders. They have excellent notes at the end of each canto. Inferno and Purgatorio are both available in paperback but Paradiso just came out a couple months ago and is still only available in hardcover. I think B&N or Borders would have them (or a special order at your local Mom & Pop).

Robert Awesome, thanks. Never made it to Purgatorio. Never went beyond Paradise Lost, either.
