This was a fun and useful book on reading body language. It teaches to observe signs of comfort/discomfort and how to evaluate those in context to determine what the person is feeling (but not really what they are thinking). The author is skeptical that deception can be reliably detected but points out a few ways that discomfort can signal the possibility of deception. It has helpful explanations and pictures of the postures and expressions the author describes.

The author's style is entertaining and informative. The book reads very quickly but then it becomes a bit of a reference guide. One does not learn this stuff overnight.
