it was amazing

A remarkable book. Though the book feels a little cobbled together - which makes sense given that many chapters started out as independent essays - the overall piece is truly brilliant. Pollan's thesis - that human control over nature isn't inherently bad and might actually be good and necessary - is one we should all heed.
