Bruce Edmund Wilson once criticized a certain writer's style as being "unappetizing sawdust." This perfectly describes the writing in The Westing Game. There is no genuine concern for character here, just the attempt to create a "puzzle mystery" which I suppose Raskin succeeded in doing, though how successfully I don't know as I couldn't stomach finishing it. If I were on a desert isle with no books except The Westing Game, trying to solve the mystery might be mildly diverting, though I think I might opt for remembering past books rather than let it fill up valuable space in my memory.
