This book has the delightful grabbiness of all of OSC's books. I certainly kept turning the pages. But in the end, I was disappointed. This was no _Ender's Game_. I read and enjoyed the other follow-up books (titled something like Speaker for the Dead and Xenocide). It seemed like this one was kind of a sweeping up of the crumbs left by the other books. Not a lot happens, and the conflict set up in the first two-thirds or so of it gets solved in a single sweep of a half page. Sort of like, 'Ender is really smart and had a solution all along that you didn't get to know about or see developing. Here it is in bullet points.' Really, the story just didn't have a lot of conflict, and what there was got solved off the page, cost-free to Ender. Wholly unsatisfying.
