Estelle's cafe is slowly loosing business. Refusing to accept defeat she decides to set up a book club. Almost in a panic as the first session draws to an awkward close, she's mortified when her secret pleasure - an erotica book - falls from her bag. She calmly informs them that she is considering it for their next book and a whole new kind of book club is born. Through their new friendships formed at the book club, the younger ones are given new focus the older ones learn to live again.

It was a calmly paced book, especially after the others I'd just read, which, while I appreciated and even sought out the gentler story type, I feel I was still a little wound up and didn't appreciate this book as much as I would perhaps would have usually.
