This is the second of three Ly-San-Der books, a futuristic space romance. Shanelle Ly-San-Der is coming home after nine months of training in Kystran to her home Sha-Ka’An. Competitions in which the off-worlders are allowed to fight give Shanelle the ability to look for a lifemate outside her world. She found a man she wanted, but that frightened her. She led him on a merry chase. With the blessing of her father, he moves to take her and she flees on a ship to the unknown. She discovers a female dominated world and asks for protection. New inventions and the rescue of her by Falon make her to start to believe. With much work, they iron out their new life. Finally hearing the words she longed to hear, she settles into life with her lifemate in a less oppressive environment.
