really liked it

I enjoyed this book largely under the pretense that it was non-fiction. It was refreshing to read a book from the perspective of a young intelligent female struggling with her burgeoning sexuality.

My only issue with the book was that she supposedly dies and goes missing after getting an abortion (not in direct result of the abortion). Was this some kind of right-wing commentary on the perils of abortion? Also, tha main character praises Obama, but also enlists the right wing idea that people voted for him based on his sex appeal. The other character that endorses Obama is a 45 year old man who sleeps with the troubled protagonist.

So fuzzy political agendas aside, it's a fast, engrossing, and easy read.
