Though based on an interesting premise - that of being written alterately in the voices of a Korean woman who was a "comfort woman" for the Japanese in WWII and her daughter - I found the constant switching between past and present, reality and hallucination, mother and daughter to be sufficiently distracting to prevent me from really getting into the book.
