it was amazing
bookshelves: alternative-history, science-fiction

Wow, great start to a series I just stumbled upon by chance. I will definitely pick up more books from this universe ...

In short, this is a post-world-wide-catastrophy, who-will-survive, humanity-falling-back-into-the-middle-ages kinda book. The difference to other book of this ilk is, that the cause of the change is not known or explained - one day there is a great flash and no technology or guns work anymore, but it isn't a nuklear strike ( ... maybe alien space bats ...). From this starting point various well-described characters have to find there way through the aftermath and settle in the new world to build their future.

All of it is very well written, with believable characters and a good suspense arch.

I'll grab the next book NOW !!!
