The second Hap and Leonard novel

Leonard's Uncle Chester had been the father figure in his life when he was a boy, teaching him what it was to be a man, honest, hard-working. But the day Leonard told him he was gay, they broke and hadn't seen each other for many years.

So when his Uncle died, at the funeral, he was surprised when a lawyer said he was in the will. He'd been left the house and some money. Double surprise the next day when the lawyer told him it was a $100,000. He was also given an envelope which was filled with old fast food coupons and a safe deposit key.

The safe deposit box held a copy of Bram Stoker's Dracula, anothe unknown key, and a jar of fast food coupons.

Things really get strange while cleaning out the house. Under some boards they find an old chest with a padlock. Surprise the key fits and the third shock sets in. Inside the chest are the bones of a small child and a group of mouldering child porno, child/animal pornography magazines.

Leonard doesn't believe his Uncle killed the child, despite what it looks like, and sets out to prove it. Hap, his best friend, decides to help.
