This is a unique story. If I wrote a book, I imagine it would be something like this. It is rather like a journal of the authors trip to England to see all the historical sites of Jane Austen. She is amazingly open about her own life and makes comparisons between her life to Jane Austen and the characters in her books. (She likens them to herself) I enjoyed the self reflection. This wasn't a gripping story that I couldn't put down (it took me three months to read) but I did enjoy it. I jotted down a dozen quotes as I read.
