it was ok
Read in August, 2009

This was a very tedious read. The writing was so-so, it was verbose, and the story - although somewhat unusual - was not all that interesting. Lots of descriptions of dark caves. Lots of statements that he can't describe something followed by a page and a half of its description. Inconsistent philosophizing/moralizing with no resolution. Spent the last third of the book wondering if it would ever end.

Dree Sounds like a real slog--I can't believe you finished it!

Dan Porter I hate not finishing a book I've started. I figure there's always something to be learned even from the bad ones. This one severely tested that hypothesis.

Nicole Life is too short to force oneself to read a really bad book.

Dan Porter I guess I'm too optimistic. I always think it has to get better...especially if some dingbat put it on a list of books you have to read before you die.

Lyn (Readinghearts) Wow Dan - I almost want to read it just to see how bad it really is.
