it was amazing

You should, if you are able to of course, read this in Swedish, as the choice of tone is demonstrated and enhanced through the usage of quirky Swedish language from that time,(1905). Beyond a case of obsessive behaviour (as someone posted on here), it's a tale of protest. Protesting authority and an individual representative's abuse of power, manipulation, and control. The outlet for this doctor is to use his version of the same.
A sobering read.

Sketchbook My copy is translated by Paul Britten Austin...Is this
same as yours? Curious, as some of the English seems
awkward. Anyway, this is a striking novel.
