Reading for the 2nd time. Most recently started September 9, 2021.

I first read this when it came out in 1992, and read it about 11 times. It combined three of my favourite story worlds (Holmes, Dracula, Ripperology) in an artfully fun way.
Others were inspired by it, and thus League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and others sprung up in Newman's wake. None of them, however, matches Newman for inventiveness, cleverness, or the sheer joy of creating a Holmes pastiche that embraces the Stoker canon so artfully.
