really liked it
bookshelves: pynchon

I first read this book as a college assignment in about 1976. Going over it 35 years later (sheezus what a long time!), I get more of the references and in-jokes but less of the existential dread I felt as a nineteen-year-old. In fact, it all comes off as not much more than a big joke, something Pynchon kind of hurried to finish.
