This shared-universe series is interesting, telling how superheroes came to be. In most cases, each volume of this series is written by a several different writers, each one focusing on only one or two characters. This can make for wide swings in the quality, but it is interesting, and I've had fun reading these books over the years. They aren't in my keeper pile, but definitely worth some time for beach reading or brain candy reading.
