This is a powerful book. The author, Nic Sheff, details his life as a meth addict (beginning in high school). It's brutal, gritty, honest, and at times, hard to read. But it realistically portrays the life of an addict, and how difficult it is to get sober. His father wrote Beautiful Boy describing his relationship with Nic, and how Nic's addiction affected the family relationships. Both books are well worth reading.
