it was amazing
bookshelves: fiction
Read in July, 2010

Nineteen-year-old Anne Elliot fell in love – and was then persuaded out of it, because of course, men without fortunes are just soo not worth marrying. Now twenty-seven, an ignored-by-most-of-her-family Anne is encouraged by her younger married sister to stay at her house – and the once fortune-less Captain Wentworth also comes to stay, reigniting . . . something. Maybe.

Anne seemed to be in a bit of a love square at one point, and everyone's romantic interests were so intertwined, it was fun watching who ended up with whom. My only complaint was that the leading couple didn't get a little more stage time. And at one point I might've yelled at Anne to stop being so damn persuadable (I think I was just mad at her about the first time).

Anyway. Here's to me reading all the rest that Jane Austen had to offer. The second half of Pride & Prejudice is up next! (Major tsk to me for abandoning the first half last summer.)
