I'd say that this was a lush book, but somehow that just isn't the right descriptor for Dune. Epic, ambitious, complex, and heady as the spice found only on Arrakis.
I didn't love Dune, but it fascinated me anyways, with its creepiness and strangeness, the gom jabbar, the worms, the Bene Gesserits, etc.
I keep re-reading Dune, each time hoping that THIS time, I will understand it all.
