did not like it
bookshelves: adult-fiction, not-recommended

This much praised author writes short stories that portray the "typical"? Indian in India and in America. Her characters are well drawn and the situations probably quite realistic. BUT without much value--literally. The characters she portrays have cast off traditional values, or cannot live those values in the modern world, and have substituted no values at all--not religion, not really meaningful relationships, not work--just drifting meaninglessness.
